Magnetostatic interaction in oriented assembly of elongated nanoparticles
نویسندگان
چکیده
The elements of the magneto-dipole (MD) interaction matrix are calculated for a pair oriented spheroidal magnetic nanoparticles with semiaxes ratio a/b = 1.25, 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 as function distance between particle centers. It is shown that spherical approximation MD incorrect already at aspect ratios > if R centers order sizes. However, moderate ratios, < first correction to respect corresponding small parameter be in good agreement numerical data. Using exact matrix, quasi-static hysteresis loops dilute assemblies clusters different filling densities calculated, depending on direction external field orientation axis.

Interaction Effects in Assembly of Magnetic Nanoparticles
A specific absorption rate of a dilute assembly of various random clusters of iron oxide nanoparticles in alternating magnetic field has been calculated using Landau-Lifshitz stochastic equation. This approach simultaneously takes into account both the presence of thermal fluctuations of the nanoparticle magnetic moments and magneto-dipole interaction between the nanoparticles of the clusters. ...
متن کاملOriented assembly of anisotropic nanoparticles into frame-like superstructures
It is fascinating but challenging for nanoscientists to organize nanoparticles (NPs) into ordered architectures just as it is for chemists to manipulate atoms and molecules to form functional molecules and supramolecules. We explore a strategy to assemble anisotropic NPs into open frame-like superstructures via oriented attachment (OA), experimentally realizing a nanoscale analog to the bonding...
متن کاملMembrane tubulation by elongated and patchy nanoparticles
Advances in nanotechnology lead to an increasing interest in how nanoparticles interact with biomembranes. Nanoparticles are wrapped spontaneously by biomembranes if the adhesive interactions between the particles and membranes compensate for the cost of membrane bending. In the last years, the cooperative wrapping of spherical nanoparticles in membrane tubules has been observed in experiments ...
